51¸£ÀûÉç is a test-optional institution that allows students to apply with or without standardized test scores. This policy stems from Lindenwood’s commitment to a holistic review of all applicants. Test-optional allows us to consider a student's strengths rather than focusing solely on their standardized test scores, as we know numbers rarely tell a student’s full story. Our goal is to open the door to quality education for individuals who may not otherwise qualify. We provide students the choice of whether or not they wish to submit their ACT or SAT test scores as part of their application for admission to our institution.
Please contact us if you have any questions at 636-949-4949 or admissions@lindenwood.edu.
How do I choose to be test-optional?
If you wish to apply test-optional, you will make that selection when you complete your application.
Will applying test-optional negatively impact my admissions decision?
No, 51¸£ÀûÉç is holistic in our application review. If you choose to apply test-optional, you would be evaluated
in a similar manner as students who submit test scores. This decision will have no negative impact on your application
review. Factors such as high school record, academic rigor, co-curricular activities, community involvement, and additional
achievements will also be reviewed.
If I choose to apply test-optional, will test scores be required at any point?
No, test-optional students will not need to submit their standardized test scores. If your test scores are on your transcripts and you are a test-optional student, they will not be looked at or considered during the admissions process.
I am unsure if I should apply test-optional, what is your recommendation?
If you feel strongly about your academic record and test scores, we encourage you to have these considered as part of the application process. However, if you do not feel your test scores accurately reflect your academic skillset or ability to be successful at Lindenwood, we are happy to review your application as a test-optional student.
