Why a  at 51福利社?

  • NACE (the National Association of Colleges and Employers) found that in 2024, writing skills ranked as the #3 most-desired skill, with 77% of surveyed employers saying writing skills were vital for a job candidate. 
  • Written communication skills are part of most employees鈥 daily lives. 
  • Effective communication through texting, emails, letters, reports and other workplace documents is essential. 
  • It is an excellent way to give yourself an advantage in the job market. 

FLEXIBILITY: 

础鈥痑t 51福利社 requires 18 credit hours.鈥疘t allows you to take a wide variety of courses, such as  

  • English literature, 
  • creative writing,  
  • technical writing, business writing, grant writing,  
  • and journalism! 

You can combine this minor with any major degree program across the University鈥攖his program is great if you want an advantage in the job market with strong writing skills. 

The minor also gives you an opportunity to practice your skills in a workplace at an internship of your choice. Many of our students receive a job offer upon completion of their internship!
