In addition to our touring and academic events, the Scheidegger Center presents special events throughout the year and community groups use our facilities to offer exciting entertainment.

The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra鈥檚 annual toast to the holidays returns to 51福利社. Bring your family and friends for a festive concert blending鈥痶he timeless and traditional with contemporary classics and fresh takes on tunes from the seasonal songbook. Your SLSO and the St. Louis Symphony Chorus bring all the magic of the holidays, from cozy fireside ballads to poignant carols and the sound of sleigh bells鈥攁nd perhaps even a visit from Santa Claus!

Symphonic Dreamscapes: Hisaishi and Beyond
October 10 at 7:30 p.m.
The Lindenwood Theater
Joe Hisaishi鈥檚 luminous, imaginative music and decades-long collaboration with Hayao Miyazaki and Studio Ghibli has produced some of the most beloved scores in cinema. The St. Louis Symphony Orchestra performs selections from the composer behind such acclaimed films as Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and Howl’s Moving Castle, paired with classical works that share the same sense of magic and wonder. Led by Assistant Conductor Samuel Hollister, this vibrant program reveals surprising connections between cinematic and symphonic storytelling. Join us for an enchanting evening that celebrates the timeless power of orchestral music to transport us to extraordinary places.
