Learning Design and Educational Technology
The Learning Design and Educational Technology Services team aims to support teaching and learning efforts through the provision of learning design services and the pedagogical use and support of educational technologies. The team focuses on providing instructional design and EdTech support for all instructors and across multiple modalities (on-ground, online, and HyFlex). Instructional designers and instructional technologists use evidence and current best practices to partner with faculty in innovating their teaching practices.
Services
Instructional designers use evidence in teaching and learning and current best practices in educational technology to create meaningful educational experiences for our learners. Our team brings the student perspective to a variety of projects across multiple formats and helps to brainstorm and support the meaningful implementation of digital technologies in instruction. Learning Design is ready to partner with faculty on:
- Course and program design and redesign聽

- Online and blended learning approaches聽
- Accessibility and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)聽
Instructional technologists stay up-to-date with current trends and emerging technologies. We offer comprehensive support to help you leverage technology effectively in your teaching, including:
- Learning Management System (LMS) support聽and troubleshooting
- Integration of educational tools and platforms聽
- Accessibility training and support for digital learning materials
- Guidance on selecting appropriate educational technologies聽
Support for multimedia creation (video, audio, interactive content)
We partner with聽the Learning Academy聽to offer regular workshops, webinars, and training sessions on various aspects of learning design and educational technology.聽聽
