2019
- January 25-26, 2019: Liz MacDonald, Dean of Library Services, and Susan Edele, Director of the Writing Center, presented at the 7th International Conference on Writing Analytics in St. Petersburg, FL. Their presentation, “Collaboration between Writing Centers and Libraries to Improve Student Research and Writing鈥, shared the results of embedding reference librarians and writing specialists into online courses. They focused on the pedagogical relationship between research and writing, and the perceptions of improvement in writing assignments when students use the reference librarians and writing specialists as resources.
2018
- February 15-17, 2018: Mary Ruettgers, Assistant Professor of Teacher Education, and Lynda Leavitt, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership, presented a paper titled 鈥溾 at AAC&U鈥檚 2018 General Education and Assessment: Foundations for Democracy Conference, Philadelphia, PA (funded via assessment travel funds).
- October 22, 2018: Geremy Carnes, Associate Professor of English (and former Director of Academic Assessment), and David Wilson, Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness/Chief Assessment Officer, gave a poster presentation on 鈥溾 at the 2018 Assessment Institute, Indianapolis, IN.
- November/December, 2018: Robyne Elder, Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership, published 鈥溾 in Assessment Update, November-December 2018, Volume 30, Number 6, pp. 3, 15.
2017
- June 24, 2017: Areerat Kichkha, Assistant Professor of Economics and School of Accelerated Degree Programs Department Chair of Business Administration, presented at the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) National Conference in Anaheim, CA. The study compares student performance in sampled traditional, hybrid and online courses in economics to explore whether these different instructional methods lead to similar learning outcomes, and what assessment criteria we may use to be sure that these teaching methods deliver the same outcomes.

- April 19, 2016: David Wilson, Associate VP for Institutional Effectiveness/Chief Assessment Officer, and Renee Porter, Campus Provost, Belleville, gave a roundtable presentation on 鈥溾 at the Higher Learning Commission 2016 Annual Conference, Chicago, IL.
- October 17, 2016: Beth Kania-Gosche, Associate Dean of the College of Education and Human Services, and David Wilson, Associate Vice President for Institutional Effectiveness/Chief Assessment Officer, gave a poster presentation on 鈥溾 at the 2016 Assessment Institute, Indianapolis, IN.
2015
- March 3, 2015: Jill Hutcheson, Assistant Professor of Teacher Education and Chair, Teacher Education Initial Certification, presented at the Missouri Association of Colleges of Teacher Education Conference on the pilot study conducted on a locally-developed instrument that was used to evaluate students in early field experiences.
- April 10, 2015: Beth Kania-Gosche, Associate Professor of Educational Leadership and Assistant Dean, accreditation and faculty development, presented on 鈥淢issouri鈥檚 Statewide First-Year Teacher Survey: Past, Present, and Future鈥 at the Spring 2015 Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation Conference in Denver, CO; her co-presenters were Tim Wittmann from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and James Sottille from Missouri State University.
- April 24, 2015: Robyne Elder, Graduate Assistant and Adjunct Professor in the College of Education and Human Services, at the conference for the Missouri Professors of Educational Administration on MoPTA scoring.
