Biographical Information

Dr. Ana Londo帽o graduated with a B.E. in geological engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and an M.S. and Ph.D. in geology from the University of Cincinnati. Londo帽o has seven years of experience in geologic mapping in the government sector and 11 years of experience teaching at the university level. Her professional interests are diverse and interdisciplinary. Her research deals with the interactions between geologic processes and humans, including landscape modifications by pre-Columbian cultures in southern Peru, agricultural practices under water stress conditions, and 3-D mapping of geologic processes and archaeological sites. In addition, she studies natural hazards, such as landslides, and flooding and earthquakes in the Midwest.
