Accelerated Master鈥檚 Program
The Exercise Science, BS with an emphasis in Pre-Athletic Training provides a strong foundation in exercise science while integrating prerequisite coursework for progression into the Master of Science in Athletic Training, MS program. This emphasis supports a seamless transition into Lindenwood鈥檚 Athletic Training, MS program through an accelerated pathway with a direct admission option. Qualified students can complete both degrees in five years, with undergraduate coursework completed in the first three years and graduate coursework beginning in the fourth year.
Direct Admission Eligibility
- First-time freshman students who declare the Exercise Science (BS) major with an emphasis in Pre-Athletic Training.
- Current Lindenwood students who change their major to Exercise Science (BS) with an emphasis in Pre-Athletic Training.
- Transfer students who declare the Exercise Science (BS) major with an emphasis in Pre-Athletic Training and complete more than 60 credit hours at 51福利社 prior to entering the master’s program.
Students who qualify for direct admission are not required to submit a separate application through the Athletic Training Centralized Application Service (ATCAS). To retain their reserved seat in the Athletic Training, MS program, students must satisfy all program progression requirements and remain in good standing as outlined by the Athletic Training Program. Upon completion of the Exercise Science, BS degree with an emphasis in Pre-Athletic Training, the student will be automatically admitted into the graduate degree program.
Students who do not meet progression requirements鈥攐r who choose not to continue鈥攎ust select another emphasis within the Exercise Science, BS program or complete the standalone degree to fulfill graduation requirements.
Application-Based Admission
Transfer students who complete fewer than 60 credit hours at 51福利社 toward their Exercise Science (BS) degree with an emphasis in Pre-Athletic Training are not eligible for direct admission to the Athletic Training Program. These students must apply through the Athletic Training Centralized Application Service (ATCAS). Applications from transfer students will be reviewed using the same admission process as post-baccalaureate applicants; however, the admission criteria differ because a conferred bachelor鈥檚 degree is not required at the time of entry into the program.
